Terms & Conditions

These terms explain how enquiries, consultations, appointments, payments and laser hair removal treatments will be managed by Lumina Aesthetics once bookings open.

Booking policy: Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. A booking deposit may be required and late changes or missed appointments may incur a charge as described below.

1. About Lumina Aesthetics

These Terms & Conditions apply to services provided by Lumina Aesthetics, the trading name of Lumina Skin & Laser Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17528625.

2. Consultations, eligibility and treatment

Before starting laser hair removal, clients will be asked to complete a consultation, provide relevant medical and skincare information, and undertake a complimentary laser patch test where clinically appropriate or required by our protocols. We may postpone or decline treatment where it would not be suitable or safe. Please tell us if relevant medical details, medication, skin condition, tanning or other circumstances change between sessions.

Laser hair removal aims to provide long-term hair reduction; individual results and the number of sessions required vary. We do not promise complete or permanent removal of every hair. Treatment consent and medical screening will be completed separately before a session.

3. Appointments and booking confirmation

Appointments are confirmed only once accepted by Lumina Aesthetics and any required deposit has been paid. The agreed treatment price, appointment details and applicable booking conditions will be provided before confirmation. Clients should arrive on time. Where lateness means a safe treatment cannot be completed, the appointment may be treated as a late cancellation under section 4.

4. Cancellation & No-Show Policy

We kindly request at least 24 hours’ notice if you wish to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Notice must reach us by email or through our stated booking channel before the appointment begins.

Any fee will be assessed fairly and will not exceed reasonable losses resulting from the cancellation, taking account of costs saved and any replacement booking. Fees are not automatic. Any deposit paid will be credited against the applicable fee, with no duplicate charge. Where we cancel an appointment, clients may reschedule or receive a refund for the treatment not provided. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

5. Prices, deposits and payment

We may require a booking deposit of 25% of the appointment price, capped at £50, which is credited towards that appointment. The exact amount will be shown before a client pays or confirms a booking. The remaining balance is payable at the appointment unless agreed otherwise. The deposit is refundable where cancellation is made at least 24 hours in advance, subject to any overriding statutory rights. For later changes or non-attendance, section 4 applies.

Future prices may change, but confirmed bookings will remain at the price agreed unless the client accepts a revised price. No cancellation charge will be made without the amount or calculation method being clearly disclosed before booking.

6. Courses and prepaid treatment packages

Where multi-session courses are offered, we will state the included areas, number of sessions, total price and any validity period before payment. Unless a different reasonable period is disclosed before purchase, a course will remain available for 12 months from the first treatment, subject to medically appropriate spacing and any agreed extensions.

Package appointment cancellations: The same 24-hour notice requirement applies to prepaid package sessions. With at least 24 hours’ notice, the session remains available to rebook without charge. For cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice, or failure to attend, a fee of up to 100% of the allocated booked session value may apply, subject to the fair-loss assessment in section 4. Any justified fee will be deducted from remaining package credit, not automatically treated as forfeiture of a whole session; there will be no double charge. The remaining package value can be used for future eligible treatment.

Unused sessions are not automatically non-refundable. If a client ends a course, we will calculate a fair refund for undelivered sessions, allowing for treatments provided and any genuine, reasonable losses. We will not impose a blanket “no refunds” policy. If a new medical contraindication arises, we will assess suitable options fairly, including postponement or a refund where applicable.

7. Refunds and consumer rights

Refunds are assessed according to the nature of the booking or purchase, what has been provided and applicable consumer protection law. Nothing in these terms excludes your statutory rights, including the right to services carried out with reasonable care and skill. Certain bookings or purchases made online or away from the clinic may carry statutory cancellation rights, subject to the relevant rules and exceptions; the applicable information will be provided before purchase.

For refund questions, please email info@lumina-aesthetics.com with the date and details of your booking or payment.

8. Offers and promotions

Any special offer will show its own eligibility conditions, start and end dates, and any limits before purchase. Promotions cannot be combined unless an offer expressly says otherwise. Existing statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

9. Feedback, concerns and complaints

We welcome feedback and aim to address concerns promptly and fairly. If you are unhappy with any aspect of a service or experience, please email info@lumina-aesthetics.com explaining the issue. We will review it and contact you to discuss appropriate next steps. This does not limit your legal remedies.

10. Website information and external links

The website provides general information about the clinic and its services and is not a substitute for an individual consultation. We aim to keep information accurate and up to date but may change website content and future service offerings. Our branding, text and original website materials must not be reproduced without permission except as allowed by law. Links to third-party websites, including social media or booking providers, are supplied for convenience and those websites have their own terms.

11. Privacy and personal information

Information provided through enquiries, bookings and consultations is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Health information requires particular care and is covered by separate consultation procedures.

12. Changes and applicable law

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will not automatically alter existing bookings or purchases without a lawful basis. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections that apply.
